She is officially ours!

The courts granted Kaylee to us today! Now we wait to travel!

Adoption Survival Kit

Rubberband: To remind us of FLEXIBILITY in all stages of the process
Marble: So that when we have lost all of ours, we will still have at least one left
Pretzel Twist: Resembles praying hand, to remind us of prayer
Smile Face sticker: To help us keep a positive attitude
100 Grand Bar: because our children will be worth MORE than that
Balloon: To help keep our spirits inflated
Kleenex: For the really hard days
Bandaid: To help heal our heartaches
Aspirin: To help heal our headaches
Gift bow: To remind us that our child(ren) will be the best gift ever
Gluestick: To help put ourselves back together after we fall apart, for the 100th time!
Nosespray: To unstop our noses after we have cried for hours!
Small Pillow: To scream into and cry into and then take a nap on
Your favorite candy bar: Because when all else fail, eat chocolate! (Be sure to replace it for the next time you need it! hehehehe)

12/25/08- Received referral from Taiwan!
12/11/08- Vietnam adoptions not expected to resume until mid 2010
9/2/08- Bilateral Agreement between US and Vietnam expired. Dossiers set to be returned to service providers. No projected date of a new agreement.
8/15/08- Researching other options as it looks like Vietnam will close
7/24/08- Our agency receives last referral under current agreement. Our dossier will be returned on Sept. 1
6/30/08- #9 on overall list
6/05/08- # 10 and waiting, waiting,
5/15/08- #10 and holding!
4/27/08-Still #10 and deciding to wait it out for now
4/17/08- Still #10 on waiting list
4/4/08- Still #10 on waiting list
3/31/08- #10 On List Waiting for Referral of Infant Girl
2/7/08- Received new i-171H that approves us through 06/09
12/6/07-Applied for free extension on I-600A
11/27/07- Homestudy update completed
10/11/07-Received updated i-171H form with fingerprints approved through 12/08
9/27/07- Refingerprinted
6/11/07- Dossier logged in Hanoi
5/7/07- Dossier submitted to Vietnam
4/25/07- Dossier received back from embassy
4/10/07- Dossier sent to US Embassy to be authenticated
4/5/07-Dossier completed and certified
3/26/07- Received call to start dossier
8/7/06- ADDED TO WAITING LIST
8/02/06- Received I-171H approval
6/29/06-Fingerprinted
5/20/06-Homestudy completed
4/12/06- Received passports
4/7/06- Applied for passports
