It is not often I see or notice a dragonfly, but as dragonflies are significant or symbolic to Vietnam adoptions, I seemed to notice this one as it was just hanging from the ceiling of my mother in law's carport, like it was there for me to notice it. Just call me corny but, on every other occassion I have noticed a dragonfly imparticular, there has been significant news on the adoption front. So word has it that the update is coming out tomorrow afternoon. Maybe some good news is around the corner, or maybe it was just a dragonfly hanging out. Check back tomorrow I will give you my theory. Have I mentioned lately that we have been waiting 630 days?! 630 days!! Where is my sweet, sweet Kaylee?

I know people think I'm crazy too but I wrote down all kinds of things like that when we were in the adoption process and when I looked back at my journal it was amazing the things I found out. I seriously think I had a dream when Elia was conceived and when she was born.
Wow, Melanie. 630 is A LOT of days. I hope you won't have to wait too many more. I love the idea that the dragonfly means some good news. We all sure need it! ~Gina
I also saw a dragonfly earlier this week. It was in our train car. I forgot about the dragonfly as a good luck symbol for Vietnam. But I just saw that the U.S. Embassy posted the following: http://vietnam.usembassy.gov/adoption_warning0408.html

I really want to hear what Nicki has to say in today's update. I wonder in the CHIVietnam yahoo group, it was posted that Nicki's post would come out Friday, instead of Thursday. I wonder if they had some type of warning. Going to go check the Yahoo Group now.
Melanie - Nikki is looking into this with our representatives from Vietnam. I believe you said you are not on the CHI Yahoo Group, so I wanted you to know she is checking on it, since this is actually the opposite of what they were told would happen. As soon as she knows something, she will send out an update about it!
